Sinister Chucky, Grinch and Avatar dolls that look just like real life human babies

They are the creations of mum-of-three Liz Rolfe who has become an overnight success with her Chucky, Grinch and Avatar dolls which resemble real-life babies.
And collectors are desperate to get their hands on them.

Liz is one of a handful of British reborners - artists who make human-like dolls - to create gothic alternatives.
Most reborners use silicone or acrylic kits to make newborns, which can give comfort to bereaved parents and are increasingly used as therapy for dementia patients.
But Liz spents up to 100 hours adding clay, painting and threading hair to the kits to recreate her baby and toddler-sized dollswhich include Chucky and his bride Tiffany from the Child's Play horror film series, a Dr Suess-type Grinch, a goth child and Na'vi dolls from the Avatar movie.

Her dolls, which cost around £300, have been sent to collectors all over the world, including Canada and Australia.

Liz said: "They're pretty unusual but people seem to love them.
"They are popular with collectors and parents looking for a quirky gift. I get amazing feedback."

Liz only started making 'reborns' as a hobby and guaged reaction to her unusual creatures by taking Chucky on a shopping trip.
"I took him into MacDonalds when I went for a bite to eat and was swarmed by children who wanted to see him and a gang of teenagers ran off when they saw him," she says.

Encouraged, she set up a Facebook page three months ago for her new business called Dolly Mixtures.
