Confused parents ask for help with incredibly complex maths question - designed for a SIX year old
It's said we retain just a tiny fraction of the knowledge we have routinely drummed into us at school.
On a personal level, this certainly rings true of anything we had to get our head around in physics.
However, we like to think we still have a good grasp of the sort of thing we were taught at the tender age of six.
Admittedly, this was a long time ago, but how hard could schoolwork have really been? Surely it was all potato prints and kiss chase, right?
Take a look at this kid's Math's assignment.
Posted on Facebook by the The Holderness Family , this Maths problem is only made better by the expression of puzzlement on the child's face.
The instructions read, "The picture shows some letters that are arranged in a pattern.
"Use the key to find the missing letter."
Already our head hurts at all those numbers with seemingly no pattern. Now consider that in First Grade in the US, you are just a whippersnapper of six years old.
Using the key, we have G = 11; B = 6; S = 23 and P = 20.
